Proverbs 27:17
Iron Men of God Creed
This is a call to be a leader for my family, for my friends, and for my church. I accept the
daily challenge to grow and be stretched in my relationship with Jesus Christ, who is my
personal Lord and Savior. I commit to making disciples and knowing each of them
by name. I will change the way I read the Bible, which is the inerrant word of God, and
see it as truth and not topic. I will create ways to increase worship in my home and
heart so that those around me will know who I serve. I am carving out a legacy for others
to follow as one who desires to see God glorified in my words, actions, and attitudes.
I do these things because I AM AN IRON MAN OF GOD.

Iron Men of God (IMOG) was born from a desire to see men lead their families by example and service, worship God with passion and conviction, and serve their church and community with integrity and honor.

It all begins with "Rookie School." The basic principles of training fire fighters are adapted to a ministry setting. IMOG Rookie School is an intensive six month long process that requires scripture memorization, Bible study, attendance, service projects, family & church leadership, and much more. It is not for those who want to sit on the sidelines. It is for those men who really want to be more. Those who complete this process become Iron Men of God. They are commissioned in a special worship service and wear identifying shirts - then the real work begins. As our men are being changed and conformed to the image of Christ, our church is being changed also.

Rookie School is built around seven spiritual disciplines (see the links on the left side of the page). Our Rookies study these disciplines, but study is really just the beginning. They must practice each one and demonstrate proficiency in each discipline in order to graduate and become an Iron Man of God.
